"Mac Gruff"

This grump dog (he's a mastiff!) pooka is a detective on the local police force. His real name is Jonothan Angelton, he was affectionately nicknamed Mac Gruff by a visiting American pooka and the name has stuck with him ever since. While it may seem odd to some that a pooka is a cop, Mac Gruff's reputation proceeds him. He is well known on the force for his creative pranks, though he has become more moody and sullen as the crime rate in New Hope rises.
